Wire Gap when Wires Cross

Revit does a great job of automatically breaking wires that cross as long as the stars are aligned. Here is every little thing to make sure of.

1. The  View Discipline is set to Electrical.
2. The Detail Level is set to Medium or Fine.
3. The Thick lines/Thin lines toggle is set to Thick lines.
4. The Electrical Settings dialog has a gap defined (I like 1/16").
5. The Draw MEP Hidden Lines box is checked in the Electrical Settings dialog.

Register Revit MEP 2012 and Get a New LIC file

So you got your new 2012 software, and you are ready to dig in. 


First things first, you need to register your software by going to Autodesk's Registration Site. 
If you have trouble with that site, you can fill out a Licensing Registration and Activation form.
