Anybody wanting to implement Revit MEP seems to know that content creation is a must. What you may not know is that Autodesk has posted a real good introduction to making MEP families. Not doors and windows but actual mechanical and Electrical components. Go to Autodesk's Revit MEP Documentation webpage then make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will see this.
Down load today and get busy making your own family.

I HAVE PROBLEM WITHPANEL SCHEDULE ON AUTOCAD MEP. CAN YOU HELP
Depends Adewale,
What's your problem?
Todd
Got the tutorial loaded.. only descriptions are for making doors, windows, etc. No electrical devices, fixtures, or equipment.. nuts.
Did you scroll to the bottom of the download page and make sure you downloaded the Revit MEP Family Tutorials?
Yup. I downloaded -
Revit MEP Imperial Family Editor Tutorial (.exe format - 1 MB)
Revit MEP Imperial Family Editor Datasets (.exe format - 12 MB)
but there's only demos on creating windows, doors, balusters. I'm being picky I suppose - if one can learn how to build one of the above than anything else should loosely follow the same formula.
Still, a tutorial on creating a new lighting fixture family, for example, would be nice.
Please look here for a PDF file.

There are hoops to make sure it shows you want you want throught the Help interface, but it pull this information. Let me know if this file does not exist, I can email it to you if you want.

I know this was way back in 2008, but you may want to update the links and info for those of us searching for current content on the web. I hit your link but the link is broken now, per Autodesk I guess.
Good news!
I have updated the link.
Bad news.
Nothing there for 2008. Only 2009 and 2010.
