Last month
Autodesk and
IES (Integrated Environmental Solutions)
issued a
press release announcing that they are "...working together to provide robust building performance analysis capabilities to the
Revit platform through a
work flow between
Autodesk Revit Systems,
Autodesk’s
BIM design and documentation software for mechanical/electrical/plumbing (
MEP) engineering, and the
IES software suite. "
This partnership will give Revit MEP the ability to perform "thermal analysis, load calculations, daylight assessment with LEED reporting and solar studies. "
I went to IES's home page and did a search for "Revit", Here is a peak including video's of what IES is doing.
Fasten your seat belts, I think the Revit MEP train is getting ready to depart the station.

I saw this at tech camp this week. What they have done is truly amazing.
